From skyline views to green parks and urban textures, the city offers endless variety. Many of these locations benefit from western exposure, creating stunning golden-hour light and allowing for dramatic sunset portraits. Below are some of my favorite Seattle photo locations, each offering something uniquely beautiful.

Seattle’s oldest neighborhood oozes character with brick alleys, ivy-covered walls, vintage streetlamps, and wrought iron architecture. Urban texture meets timeless charm, ideal for editorial-style or urban engagement photography. The blend of historic texture and soft ambient light creates a romantic, cinematic feel, especially after dark, when trees wrapped in twinkle lights bring a subtle magic to every frame.

Volunteer Park blends classic Seattle charm with hidden architectural gems. The Conservatory offers an elegant indoor greenhouse filled with tropical plants, soft diffused light, and intricate glass architecture—perfect for all-weather engagement sessions and intimate family portraits. The true visual centerpiece of the park is the Volunteer Park Water Tower. Built in 1906, this historic brick tower features wrought-iron gates and subtle steampunk-style detailing that make it a striking backdrop for portraits. A spiral staircase leads to an open-air observation deck, offering sweeping, 360-degree views of Seattle that feel completely different from any other viewpoint in the city.
