I’ve been carrying a camera for almost 50 years, including 19 professionally, and my goal is simple: to capture your unique love story in a way that feels true to you. I bring both artistry and technical expertise to every wedding, using large studio strobes with umbrella diffusers to create soft, flattering light for portraits, group shots, and candids, rain or shine. The result? Sharp, luminous images where every detail is beautiful, from genuine expressions to vibrant colors. Every shot is crafted with care, so your memories are documented and celebrated.
From Landscapes to Love Stories
Why I Run for The Shot
Travelling with me requires patience because I often insist on returning to locations multiple times to see how they look in different light. Sometimes the return visit is disappointing but sometimes it exceeds all expectations. Years ago, I was staying south of Amsterdam, and it had been raining for almost 2 weeks, but I had been venturing out and saw a windmill next to a canal and made a mental note to return when the weather improved. The next morning, I was awakened by sunshine streaming in my window, and I knew just what I had to do. I threw on some clothes, grabbed my camera, and ran a mile to the windmill.
Every minute was precious because the sun might get too high in the sky and be out of the frame. I knew how the windmill would look next to the curve of the canal and where the sun would be, but I could not have predicted the mist, the fishermen, and the swan that all combined to make the scene feel like a dream.
Some pictures feel like a part of me. I feel a rush of pure exhilaration when I capture something great and it stays with me forever. For me, the joy of taking a great wedding photograph is no different from the thrill of a stunning landscape.
Both feel like moments of magic, with goosebumps and tears
Chasing the Extraordinary

From Starlight to Spotlights
Capturing a meteor at 30,000 MPH requires split-second timing and technical mastery. I bring that same precision to your wedding day, ensuring that whether it is a tearful toast or a crowded dance floor, nothing is missed. I am always chasing the fleeting magic that makes a memory unforgettable.
Artistry Behind the Lens
Your photos deserve the care of an artist. My background in fine art shapes how I see every scene; it guides my framing, ensuring balance, symmetry, negative space, and the subtle interplay of light and shadow. This artistic discipline extends to my editing, where every choice is deliberate and refined, never heavy-handed. The result is photography that feels effortless and thoughtfully crafted. More About Retouching >
My work has been exhibited at the Woodside/Braseth Gallery in Seattle, the Seattle Art Fair, the Bellevue Arts Fair, and I received an honorable mention at a Gage Academy of Art juried show. While I am formally trained in drawing, I am proudly self-taught in pumpkins, sandcastles, and igloos! See More of My Art >
