I then introduce two larger strobes to shape the primary light — either bounced from the ceiling or softened through umbrellas. This creates clean, flattering light that complements both candid moments and posed portraits. Every setting is controlled manually to ensure the lighting feels organic, polished, and beautifully balanced throughout the evening.
A Seamless “Studio” on the Dance Floor

When friends or family request an impromptu group photo, I guide them briefly into this space to create a refined portrait. For additional flexibility, I may use a hand-held flash with a small umbrella to add subtle fill light in more complex angles.
